Caitlin Merritt is an experienced civil litigator who has appeared as counsel in the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and the Provincial Court of Alberta as well as before various administrative tribunals and in mediations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Since joining Kantor LLP as an associate in April, 2019, Caitlin has maintained a general civil litigation practice with an emphasis in estate litigation. In particular, she has experience in:

  • Unjust enrichment claims
  • Removal of personal representatives
  • Maintenance and support claims
  • Seeking injunctive relief
  • Property disputes
  • Other contentious matters

In addition to her court experience, Caitlin is well versed in working with clients and opposing counsel to resolve disputes before they become lawsuits.

Caitlin is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta South), the Calgary Bar Association and the Calgary chapter of the Association of Women Lawyers.
